Warranty & returns.
Information about quality-related faults, replacement products and returning your order.
Your Australian consumer rights
Australian Consumer Law provides automatic consumer guarantees. A voluntary warranty adds to those rights and cannot remove them. Rights may continue beyond a stated warranty period and also apply to replacement goods.
A major failure can entitle you to choose a refund or replacement and claim reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Other failures may entitle you to a repair or replacement. The remedy depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
Read the ACCC’s warranty guidance ↗Quality-related defects
For a product bought from Adventure Supply Co, contact us if you believe it has a quality-related defect. We will assess the issue and explain the repair, replacement or refund options available under your consumer guarantees and any additional warranty issued with your purchase.
Any voluntary warranty coverage will be the coverage stated for your product at the time of purchase. This draft does not introduce a blanket 24-month warranty or a 90-day change-of-mind policy.
How to make a claim
- Contact Adventure Supply Co using the confirmed claims contact details, to be published before sales open.
- Provide your order number or other reasonable proof of purchase, the product model and a description of the fault. Photos or video may help us assess the issue.
- We will explain the next steps and any return arrangements. Please contact us before posting a product so we can provide the correct return address and safe shipping instructions.
- Keep receipts for reasonable return expenses. Where a fault is confirmed, reasonable return costs will be reimbursed as required by Australian Consumer Law.
Proof of purchase does not have to be the original paper receipt if another reasonable record establishes the purchase. Please do not post damaged, swollen or leaking batteries; request safe return instructions first.
Replacement products
Under the proposed voluntary warranty terms, a replacement would retain the unexpired balance of the original order’s warranty period rather than automatically starting a new voluntary warranty. This does not reduce the consumer guarantees that apply to the replacement product.
Country of purchase
The proposed voluntary warranty is intended for purchases made in Australia. If an item has been taken overseas, contact us to discuss assessment and return arrangements. Any additional international costs will be explained before you agree to them. This does not exclude rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
Return shipping and expenses
- Confirmed defects: We will arrange return shipping or reimburse reasonable return costs where required by law. Send us the relevant receipts when requesting reimbursement.
- Change of mind or other non-defect returns: If we agree to accept a return, we will explain any return postage or other agreed costs before it is sent. Any applicable change-of-mind policy will be stated separately.
- Accidental returns or personal items: Contact us promptly. We will discuss recovery and any reasonable agreed forwarding costs.
- Unarranged returns: Contact us first where possible. Using a different return process does not automatically remove your statutory rights.
Issues outside the proposed voluntary warranty
The proposed additional warranty would not ordinarily cover the following, to the extent permitted by law:
- Lost or stolen products.
- Claims where the purchase cannot reasonably be established.
- Accidental damage, misuse, incorrect operation or exposure outside the product’s stated operating limits, where that caused the problem.
- Damage caused by an unauthorised repair, modification or an external event.
- Purely non-quality issues or claims made after the additional warranty expires.
- Purchases from another seller, which should normally be raised with that seller.
A third-party repair, expired warranty or promotional/free inclusion does not automatically remove rights that apply under Australian Consumer Law. We will assess the circumstances and cause of the issue.
Items in transit and other losses
For a return sent using a prepaid label supplied by Adventure Supply Co, the proposed policy is that we take responsibility for loss or damage in transit, subject to reasonable packaging and the supplied shipping instructions.
For an agreed non-defect return arranged by you, use suitable packaging and tracked delivery. Responsibility for transit loss will be assessed under the agreed return terms and applicable law.
Do not include personal items that are unrelated to the return. If something is accidentally included, contact us so we can discuss its recovery. Nothing on this page excludes liability or compensation that cannot lawfully be excluded, including reasonably foreseeable loss or damage where applicable.
